Import Logbook Entries

Use AI-powered scanning to digitize paper maintenance logbook pages. Scan photos of logbook entries and the app will automatically extract the maintenance details, detect inspections, and identify applicable ADs.

What You Can Do Here
  • Scan new entries - Photograph paper logbook pages for AI processing
  • View pending imports - See draft entries waiting for review
  • Review and approve - Tap any draft to review AI-extracted data
  • Search imports - Filter by title to find specific entries
  • Show archived - View previously rejected or completed imports
Scanning New Entries

To scan a paper logbook page:

  1. Tap the Scan New Entry button at the bottom
  2. Position your camera over the logbook page
  3. The scanner will automatically detect edges and capture the image
  4. Review the captured image and tap the checkmark to confirm
  5. You can scan multiple pages for a single entry
  6. When done, the AI will process the images and extract maintenance details

Tip: For best results, ensure good lighting and hold the camera steady. The scanner works best with flat, unwrinkled pages.

Confirming Scans

After capturing an image:

  1. The scanner automatically crops and adjusts the image
  2. Review the captured logbook page
  3. Tap the checkmark (✓) to confirm and keep the scan
  4. Tap X to discard and try again

You can scan multiple pages for a single entry - useful for logbook entries that span multiple pages.

Import Status

Each import shows its current status:

  • Just Added - Scanned but not yet sent to AI
  • Processing - AI is analyzing the scanned images
  • Draft Entry (yellow badge) - Ready for your review
  • Approved - Converted to a maintenance log entry
  • Rejected - Marked as rejected (visible with Show Archived)

The list shows the import title and creation date for each entry.

Reviewing Drafts

To review a draft entry:

  1. Tap on any Draft Entry card in the list
  2. Review the AI-extracted information
  3. Make any necessary corrections
  4. Choose to Approve or Reject

Search and Filter

Find specific imports using:

  • Search by title - Type in the search field to filter by entry title
  • Show Archived checkbox - Include rejected and completed imports in the list
Subscription Required

Note: The AI import feature requires an active subscription with available import credits. If you've reached your limit, you'll be prompted to upgrade your plan.

How to Access This Screen

You can reach this screen from:

  1. Open Aircraft Details
  2. Tap the gear icon (⚙️) in the top-right corner
  3. In Aircraft Setup, tap Import Logbook Entries
